Genesis
Days 7, 8, 9, 10
From Trials and Errors, Genesis’s year-long photography project from 2024. The project reimagines time by treating each month as a single “day”—twelve expanded days forming a framework for creative exploration and personal growth.
Shot exclusively on film with no edits, re-takes, or corrections, each frame is a permanent record of a decision made in real time. What returns from the lab is a handmade document of choice, chance, and feeling. Genesis then reviews the photographs and combines them into multimodal collages, layering images with handwritten text. The compositions are guided by intuition, arranged based on what feels right as he reconnects with the days gone past.
The photographs appear as fragments of a larger internal landscape. Some images are sharp, others drift. Motion blur, missed focus, and imperfect exposures mirror the natural rhythm of being human. At its core, Trials and Errors is both a visual diary and a study of transformation—asking how identity forms through repetition, how imperfection informs clarity, and how resilience takes shape quietly over time.
